LuckyMiner LV06 reports to DHCP server hostname "espressif". When more miners are in the network, all share the same hostname.

It wold be nice to have an option to define "hostname", so each miner will register it's hostname to DHCP server....

$ host espressif

espressif.lan has address 192.168.13.244

espressif.lan has address 192.168.13.183

espressif.lan has address 192.168.13.239

@Ada

If you have more than one miner on the same WiFi network, you need to append a serial number to the User name, for example, 'User.001', 'User.002', and so on. Or you can just find one Luckyminer running.

I cannot upgrade LuckyMiner LV06 from V2.1.0 to V2.3.0. I upgraded the older device and that was easy, on the first try. But I cannot upgrade device that I received this week, I tried several times but it keeps version V2.1.0. No error is reported, it just stays in state "WORKING" and it is not upgraded.

This is the firmware V2.3.0:

$ md5sum esp-miner.bin

0fe6e14d60065431aceb5dc72a1cc49a esp-miner.bin

@jb18007

I upgraded my new LV06 from V2.1.0 to V2.3.0, I just needed several tries. Like LV06 cannot handle network problem, when packet has to be re-transmitted or something like that; just a guess. I am not sure if that is important but I upgraded my LV06 once I powered it off and on, maybe that such hard reset helped to upgrade firmware. When update is successful, there is a clear message that it was successful.

@jb18007

One more issue. I assume that miner IP address is 192.168.1.22. Try this:

1) Open http://192.168.1.22/#/swarm

2) Enter device IP "192.168.1.22"; you will see starts for the device. COOL!

3) Enter the same IP again, you will see starts for the device 3 times! Not so cool...

4) Enter the same IP again, you will see starts for the device 7 times! This must be a BUG...

@jb18007

Thank you for the update. Is it possible to get source code of this firmware? Firmware for LV06 looks like a fork of ESP-miner firmware V2.0.5, that was released with GPL 3.0 license, so user has right to receive source code. There are rumors that LV06 cannot be updated with ESP-miner V2.1.2 because it will brick the device :-( It looks like LV06 is not 100% hardware compatible with BitAxe Ultra design.

I still miss in LV06 V2.3.0:

  • no pool password (default password x cannot be changed)
  • no pool failover (only one pool can be configured)
  • stratum pool reconnect is not supported (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Stratum_mining_protocol#client.reconnect)
  • WiFi password is shared in plain text at http://miner-ip/api/system/info

Fully support you.

Thanks for your comment!

Firmware Update from Lucky Miner Firmware 2.1.0 to original Bitaxe Firmware 2.1.3 does work.

Bitaxe Download: https://github.com/skot/ESP-Miner/releases

Luckyminer LV06 seems to be a Bitaxe Ultra 202 Clone of sort.

Otherwise, update Lucky Miner Firmware 2.1.0 (Factory) to 2.3.0.

@grzespawlowski

My LV06 worked on ESP-Miner V2.1.2 for a week and there was no problem ....

@Tera

 I am purchased two Lucky Miners LV06 and can't fix the problem: Then my WiFi router rebooted, LV06 go to configuration mode and stay in this mode without trying to reconnect to WiFi, while WiFi restored after 1 minute. I know, i can reboot my lv06 manually, but this is not possible in my case. I want fully autonomy mode without my attention.

@Ada

The engineer is already aware of the issue and will develop new firmware to fix this bug.

Will inform you.Dear. Please contact +86 13688384591【wechat/whatsapp】

@Tera

Easy solution: Add timer for staying in the configuration mode 5 or 10 minutes, than reboot. Something like this...

@registrax.00

I confirm that it works perfectly after the update.

@watervay

How i can upgrade? Update firmware or

update website area? which one?

@jb18007

Connect to LV06 web page and go to Settings tab

1) File esp-miner.bin is for "Update Firmware"

2) File www.bin is for "Update Website"

ZIP archive with firmware update V2.3.0 has only file esp-miner.bin, so it is for Update Firmware...

@Tera

update firmware - 100%

@Ada

I apologize for any confusion. This is a bin file for update firmware directly from setting page.
