The TLP5772 comprises an infrared LED and an integrated high-gain, high-speed photodetector. It is mainly used for maintenance of the APW12 power supply.
The TLP5772 is 50 % smaller than the 8-pin DIP package and meets the reinforced insulation class requirements of international safety standards. Therefore the mounting area can be reduced in equipment requiring the safety standard certification.
The TLP5772 has an internal faraday shield that provides a guaranteed common-mode transient immunity of ±35 kV/µs. In particular, this photocoupler guarantees operation with a low threshold input current. It allows a bufferless direct drive from a microcomputer. In addition, the TLP5772 has rail-to-rail output, enabling stable operation and better switching performance in the system.
