Antminer S17+ Upgrade Refit Heat Sink - New Exciting Heat Sink Design
Why buy?
This newly designed one-piece clip-on heatsink solution can help improve the stability and efficiency of the Antminer S17+ model for better profitability. Compared with the cost of frequently replacing the BM1397 chip, the Antminer S17+ refitting heat sink saves money while improving its service life. You will no longer need to repair and replace chips or hash boards repeatedly, save a lot of maintenance time and costs, and get more efficient miners and better selling prices.
At present, the feedback from miners using the Antminer S17+ all-in-one heatsink, the restored S17+ miner is more stable and can withstand shipping.
Upgrade heat sink installation process SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
1. Remove the original heat sink;
2. Take out the chip, remove the tin on the chip;
3. Clean up the hash board;
4. Clean the pad;
5. Fix the tin-plated nut (with the hole facing down) on the pad;
6. Add thermal paste, fasten the heat sink to the board (thermal paste/pad - put it on the board - set the washers - screws).
Why do Antminer S17+ have to replace their heat sinks (what's the pain)?
Antminer S17 plus was produced in 2019 with an amazing efficiency curve between 39-50 W/TH. But why is the price of a similar spec rig more than double that of the S17+ miner? It's because poor soldering and temperature differences can cause the solder joints on the S17+ model to shatter, small solder balls can get stuck on the pins of the chip, causing short circuits and permanent chip damage; the glue can also dry out, causing heat not to get out of the chip properly up conduction out, causing the chip to burn out. Eventually, the hash board fails to work properly. Therefore, used miners are far below the market price of similar miners, and they cannot be sold or even die on delivery.
The S17+ hash board can be restored by replacing the chip, reworking the solder paste, and replacing the hash board. However, these types of repairs can be ongoing and expensive for miners in terms of downtime and repair costs. Also, it may break again after the repair is returned. So, choosing the S17+ all-in-one heatsink to maintain miners is a better choice.
