IT8718F is a highly integrated super I/O based on low pin count interface. IT8718F provides the most commonly used traditional super I/O functions as well as the latest environmental control schemes such as hardware monitor, fan speed controller. The IT8718F features an enhanced hardware monitor that provides 3 thermal inputs from remote thermistors, thermal diodes or diode-connected transistors (2N3904). The device also provides ITE's innovative smart automatic fan on/off and speed control function (SmartGuardian) to protect the system and reduce system noise and power consumption.
